Validate Health Card (VHC), is targeted towards Ontario Health Care Providers such as general practitioners, optometrists, and ophthalmologists who accept OHIP patients. Our service allows you to instantly validate Ontario health cards over the Internet so you can verify patient data and reduce OHIP claim rejections by determining your patient’s eligibility just prior to service delivery.
How It Works
When a health card is presented at the point of service, you enter its information into our web form and click validate. We will run the data against the Ontario MOHLTC database and a response will be provided back to you within seconds. Our response includes full decision making information to determine whether your patient is covered under OHIP or if the patient should be billed directly by you at the time of service.
